With a little #inspiration from Local Levo

February 06, 2014 By Caitlin Sellers

January was a busy month. I have immersed myself in the www.Levo.com culture. I think I am actually a little bit obsessed with it. Either way, it has proven to elevate my career.

Tonight I was sending an email to a few women who reached out about Levo. It was basically fate. Either way, I started to pour my heart out regarding my passion for Levo League when I was simply trying to explain what the organization was. I would like to share with you how some of that went:

Jennifer,

I think my heart just smiled a little bit. You definitely haven't been living under a rock. We launched right before Thanksgiving. I found this org last February on Pinterest and fell head over heels in love with the org. I instantly searched through the Local Levo section and found that the closest local chapters were in Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA both too much of a haul to get to an event but their online space is fantastic. I got a hold of team Maxie to question why there wasn't one in the Carolinas. In August we touched base again and they were considering a few Carolina cities and Charlotte was one of them. Raleigh and Charleston were the other contenders. After they told me I was being considered as a Local Levo Leader, I reached out to local leaders in Atlanta (Brianne is CC'd also), I traveled to pick their brain about what was working, what needed improvement and what her goals were for her chapter. Needless to say, I knew I found an organization I was born to be in.

Levo League is a technology and now local community that has helped my career soar beyond belief. The network of women who want to make a difference in the business world and at home. Levo allows gen Y women to elevate their careers both professionally and personally. I have CC'd the Global directors of the Local Levo Chapters so feel free to ask them any higher level questions.

Our mission in Charlotte over the course of the next 6 months is to bridge the gap between women in their 20s and women in their 30s+. For some reason there is a disconnect when mentors can impact influencers, transitioners and starters...and everything in between. Since planning events for the Charlotte community, I have noticed that this is an issue that is easily fixable through Levo.

Either way, our events are across the board- we are open to practically anything as long as it aligns with our mission. The opportunity to connect with business women is unreal. The support Levo League offers is nothing I have ever felt before. Here and Now- We have events nailed down right now through April. We are trying to get the nitty-gritty details down but we will have March's events posted by February 15th. We can go through the calendar when we get together.

Anyway, I feel like this is a huge brain dump of the love I have for empowering women but I appreciate the incredible support.

When works for you to get together next week?

I hope the email above explains what I have been up to lately.
